Global Health Fair

The London World Health Organisation Simulation 2019 Conference is inviting abstract submission for presentation at our Global Health Fair.

This call is open to all.

The fair is part of the #LonWHO2019 conference from Friday 1st November to Sunday 3rd November, at Bush House, King’s College London.

Posters will be presented during the conference on Sunday November 3, for delegates to view between sessions alongside stalls from other global health organisations.

Winners of the poster competition will be presented at the closing ceremony.

Presenters will also be able to observe the plenary session that takes place on the Sunday and witness heath policy resolutions being debated.

Abstract format

 The word limit for each abstract is 300 words and you may submit one table or figure per abstract.

All abstracts must be written and presented in English.

The abstract should follow the headings:

  • Title
  • Introduction/Background
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

Submitted abstracts that do not adhere to the 300 word limit will be automatically rejected. Please also list all authors and their affiliation(s).

Poster Themes

The overarching theme for the #LonWHO2019 conference is Conflict and Health: Policy for Global Action.

Please select the key conference theme which best fits your abstract submission from the following:

A – Conflict and Health
B – Migration and refugee health

Sub-themes in relation to conflict and health include are also encouraged.
For example:

  • Nutrition, Food Security and Water and Sanitation
  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Non-Communicable Diseases
  • Communicable Diseases
  • Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
  • Gender-based Violence


The deadline for submission is 10pm on October 15, 2019.

There is no fee for abstract submission or poster presentation.
If your submission is accepted for a poster, then you will be required to print your poster and arrive on Sunday.

We’ve waived any presenter fees (originally introduced to cover the additional catering costs) and so request if you would like to join, to bring your own pack lunch.
